// the_path

The path to a website that works.

Every project follows the same five-step process. It starts with your message — not your design — because a beautiful website built on a confused story still won't convert.

01 Discovery 60–90 min call

Story Session

Before anything is designed or built, we work through your story together. This is the foundation of everything. We map out the seven elements that will drive every word on your site:

  • Your customer — Who is your ideal customer, and what do they most want?
  • Their problem — What challenge are they facing — and how does it make them feel?
  • You as the guide — Why are you the right person to help them, and how do you show empathy and authority?
  • The path forward — What are the clear, simple steps a customer takes to work with you?
  • The call to action — What is the one thing you want visitors to do next?
  • Life after — What does your customer's situation look like after working with you?
  • The cost of waiting — What do they risk if they don't act?

// outcome

A clear story and messaging foundation that drives every decision on your site.

02 Strategy 3–5 business days

Messaging & Wireframe

We take your story and translate it into a site wireframe — the structural blueprint of your website with the actual copy in place. This is where most web projects go wrong: they skip straight to design. We don't.

  • Homepage wireframe — A section-by-section outline structured to walk your customer through their story.
  • Headline copy — Every major headline written to match the framework — clear, customer-focused, action-oriented.
  • Section copy — Supporting copy for each section that addresses your customer's journey.
  • CTA language — The exact wording of your calls to action, optimized to lower friction and invite response.

// outcome

A complete wireframe with copy you approve before any design or development begins.

03 Build 1–4 weeks

Design & Development

With approved copy and a clear wireframe, we build. The design serves the message — not the other way around. The technology choice is made based on your actual needs: most brochure sites are best served by a fast, static build; a CMS is added only when you genuinely need one.

  • Static or CMS — right-sized for you — Most clients get a fast static site: lower cost, quicker turnaround, easier to host. WordPress or another CMS is recommended when you need content management or dynamic features.
  • Design system — Consistent typography, color, and spacing that reflects your brand and builds trust.
  • Contact & conversion elements — Forms, CTAs, and lead capture points placed where your customer's journey calls for them.
  • Performance & SEO basics — Fast load times, clean HTML structure, and on-page SEO foundations in place at launch.

// outcome

A fully built site — ready for your review and approval before launch.

04 Launch 1–2 business days

Go Live

Once you've approved the site, we launch. We handle the technical side — domain configuration, SSL, DNS, and final performance checks — so launch day is smooth.

  • Domain & DNS setup — Your domain pointed to the new site correctly, with no downtime if replacing an old site.
  • SSL certificate — HTTPS enabled and verified.
  • Final QA pass — Every page checked on desktop and mobile before the site goes public.
  • Handoff & training — A brief walkthrough so you can make simple content updates yourself if you want to.

// outcome

Your site is live, secure, and working correctly across devices.

05 Maintain Monthly

Ongoing Hosting & Maintenance

A launched site isn't a finished site — it needs regular attention to stay fast, secure, and current. Our maintenance plans keep everything running so you never have to think about it.

  • Managed hosting — Fast cloud infrastructure with daily backups and uptime monitoring.
  • Software updates — CMS core, themes, and plugins kept up to date on a regular schedule when applicable.
  • Security monitoring — Active scanning and hardening to keep your site protected.
  • Content edits — Small copy and image changes included — no extra invoice for minor updates.

// outcome

A site that stays secure, fast, and current month after month.
